DURHAM, N.C. - Chris Beck (Jefferson, Ga.) and Victor Roache (Ypsilanti, Mich.) were among the top-10 players named to Baseball America's top prospects in the Cape Cod League. Georgia Southern was the only team with two players in the top-10. Beck was second on the list while Roache checked in at number six.
Roache finished the summer schedule with a .316 average against some of the best college pitching. The nation's home run leader tallied six long balls in the Cape Cod League and was a member of the All-Star Team.
Beck posted a 2-3 record with a 2.12 ERA in eight starts in the Cape. The rising junior struck out 41 while only walking 13 batters.
The Georgia Southern baseball team is preparing for another Southern Conference Title defense and will open fall practice on September 19th.
