Roache Earns Fifth All-American Honor from ABCA

STATESBORO, Ga. - The American Baseball Coaches Association selected Victor Roache as a First Team All-American and Matt Murray as a Second Team All-Atlantic Region member. Roache joined Murray as an All-Atlantic Region Team pick and was selected to the first team.
Roache was selected a Second Team All-American by Perfect Game after hitting .326 with 30 home runs and 84 RBIs. The sophomore outfielder set new Georgia Southern and Southern Conference single-season home run records and was twice named the SoCon's Player of the Month. He is currently playing summer baseball for the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod League.
Murray tied for the team lead with a 2.39 ERA and was selected as the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year by the league's head coaches. The junior went 4-3 with nine saves in 26 appearances. He was drafted in the 10th round by the Kansas City Royals and is currently playing for their rookie league affiliate the Burlington Royals.
