Victor Roache Named SoCon Baseball Player of the Month

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Baseball's Victor Roache picked up his second consecutive Southern Conference Player of the Month honor in the month of May. The sophomore slugger hit eight home runs in the month, leading the Eagles to the SoCon Baseball Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Roach hit .345 in the season's final month en route to earning Louisville Slugger All-America honors as well as SoCon Player of the Year honors. He belted five doubles and scored 15 runs while posting 28 RBI.
The Ypsilanti, Mich. native registered a .873 slugging percentage while reaching base at a .532 clip. He walked 17 times and closed the season with 30 home runs to set new SoCon and Georgia Southern single-season records.
