Eagles Battle Wofford on SoCon Saturday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Georgia Southern Men's Basketball will look to end a six-game losing streak when they travel to Wofford on Saturday night (Feb. 14). Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will be televised live on SportSouth.
Chris Blair and Frank Kerns will call the game on Eagle 102.9 FM and via the internet at www.GeorgiaSouthernEagles.com. The broadcast will begin 30 minutes before tipoff. This will be the fourth time this year the Eagles will be on SportSouth. Tom Werme and Eddie Fogler will call the game.
The Eagles (7-16 overall, 5-10 SoCon) are looking to rebound from a 70-60 loss at Furman on Thursday. Five Eagles scored in double-figures, led by Tyler Troupe (Gallatin, TN/Iowa Western CC) and Colby Wohlleb (Boca Raton, FL/Boca Raton) with 13 points each.
Overall, Antonio Hanson (Fort Worth, TX/Independence CC) leads the scoring attack at 12.3 points per game. He is fourth in the league hitting 2.8 3-pointers per game and 14th with 2.5 assists.
Ben Drayton III (St. Marys/Camden County) leads the SoCon shooting 48.3 percent from 3-point range and is 10th hitting 50 percent from the field. He boosted his scoring average to 10.2 points per game. Troupe is averaging 9.0 points and team-leading 6.2 rebounds per game.
Sandy Perry (Perth Amboy, N.J./Barton County CC) scored in double-figures again at Furman, scoring 10 of his 12 points in the second half.
Wofford (11-12, 7-7) is coming off a 78-61 loss to Davidson on Thursday. The Terriers did not make a field goal over the last 7:48 of the game. Noah Dahlman led Wofford with 18 points while Terry Martin added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench. Tim Johnson grabbed a team-high seven rebounds but Davidson held a 44-30 edge on the glass. Wofford led by five at the half but the Wildcats out-scored Wofford 42-20 in the second half.
Dahlman leads the way at 16.7 points per game while Junior Salters is next at 15.9 points. Johnson is averaging 10 points and team-leading 8.9 rebounds per game. Jason Dawson has dished out 71 assists.
