Brian English

Brian English joins the Georgia Southern Baseball staff for the 2017-18 campaign in the newly created position of Director of Baseball Operations. English will coordinate team travel, gameday administration, special events, video, and social media. He will assist with Eagle Baseball Camps, the Eagle Dugout Club and on-campus recruiting.

English joins the Eagles from Armstrong State University where he coached for four seasons under Head Coach Calvain Culberson. English made the move to Georgia Southern as part of the consolidation of Armstrong and Georgia Southern. He served as the assistant for the 2014 season on a temporary basis and was hired full-time to the position in July of 2015.

English served on the staff of Middle Georgia College in 2012-13, at USC Aiken from 2009-12 and at Augusta State in 2008-09. As a player, English played at South Georgia College for two seasons and at Valdosta State for two seasons.

The Kingsland, Ga., native received his bachelor's degree in history from Valdosta State in 2008 and his master's of arts in teaching/secondary education from Augusta State in 2011.Â
