Emma Villaescusa joined the Georgia Southern Strength & Conditioning staff in June 2026. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of strength & conditioning development for women’s basketball, women’s tennis and cross country.
Prior to Georgia Southern, Emma served as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at Charleston Southern University, assisting with women’s volleyball, football and men’s basketball. In Summer 2023 and 2024, she served as an intern at Grand Canyon University, where she assisted with women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and baseball.
A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Villaescusa is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Emma was a student-athlete on Charleston Southern’s Division I softball team, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a Master's degree in education: sport coaching and physical education.
