Carsyn Meyers joined the Georgia Southern University Athletic Communications staff in August 2026, serving as the primary communications contact for track & field, softball, and men's soccer.
Prior to Georgia Southern, Meyers served as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Content at Tyler Junior College, where he directed athletic communications for 12 varsity sports. During his time with the Apaches, he managed media relations, produced feature stories and game coverage, coordinated live broadcasts, oversaw photography and creative content, directed team media days, and developed digital strategies that significantly expanded the department's online reach. His work contributed to more than 10 million social media impressions while helping grow the football program's digital presence by more than 200 percent.
Before his tenure at Tyler Junior College, Meyers gained experience in athletic operations and communications through collegiate basketball and sports media. He has served as a Director of Basketball Operations and assistant coach at the junior college level.
With nearly eight years of experience in collegiate athletics, Meyers has built a diverse background spanning athletic communications, digital media, broadcasting, photography, and athletic operations.
