SOPHOMORE (2012): Went 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA in 15 appearances and 11 starts... Moved to the weekend rotation on March 18 against UNCG... Allowed just 20 walks in 60.0 innings pitched... Held opponents to a .251 batting average... Tossed a season-high 7.0 innings against the College of Charleston (4/1) and at Indiana (4/22)... Struck out a season-high five batters against the Cougars (4/1)... Opened the season with a pair of scoreless relief appearances against Mercer (2/28) and North Florida (3/1)... Tossed a quality start of six innings and one earned run in a 10-7 win over Elon (5/26) in the SoCon Tournament.
FRESHMAN (2011): Appeared in 20 games with five starts, going 3-1 with a 5.09 ERA and two saves... Tallied 40.2 innings and struck out 22 batters... Made Sunday starts against George Washington (2/20) and N.C. Central (2/27) to open the season... Did not allow a run in his first start and earned the win in 5.1 scoreless innings... Threw a season-high 5.2 innings against Charleston Southern (5/4), allowing four earned runs on 11 hits in the 13-12 win... Earned both of his saves in the home series finale against Davidson (5/13-16).
PREP: Attended Lakeside High School in DeKalb County, Ga. and played for head coach Bill Newsome... Helped lead the Vikings to a 2010 Regional 6-AAAA Championship... Earned three varsity letters and was named the team’s MVP twice... Named the Pitcher of the Year for Dekalb County by posting the lowest ERA in the county... A First Team All-DeKalb County Selection his final two years at Lakeside... Named to the school’s honor roll... Also was a member of the East Cobb 18U Braves in 2010 and helped the team to a 38-6 record.
PERSONAL: Born March 13th in Atlanta, Ga... Son of David and Alice Middour... Brother, Thomas, was a four-year starter on the mound at Davidson from 2007-10... Thomas finished his career with a 14-22 record and a 6.26 ERA... Father, David, was a pitcher at Georgia Tech from 1976-78... David recorded six of the 1978 Yellow Jackets’ 14 wins and led the team in innings pitched with 84 and ERA (4.29).
