
Three Eagles Named to CSC Academic Al-District Teams

STATESBORO --- Three Eagles on the Georgia Southern baseball team in Alex Mason, Will Robbins and Sean White have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for their work in the classroom this year, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Alex Mason, a sophomore from Hazelhurst, Ga. earns the honor with his overall GPA of 3.62 in Management. Mason finished 2026 with a 3-5 record across 20 appearances, nine starts and 52.1 innings. He transitioned into a weekend starter, tossing 38 strikeouts with hitters going .294 against him. He tossed 2.1 scoreless innings on March 10th against top-15 Clemson, allowing three hits and striking out two while tossing three full innings of scoreless work at College of Charleston on March 25th, giving up just one hit and three strikeouts. He also had a career high four strikeouts in his penultimate appearance of the year at Georgia State on May 9th.
Will Robbins, a senior from Cumming, Ga., earns the honor with his 3.50 ERA in Professional Communication and Leadership. Robbins finished his collegiate career with the third most appearances on the team with 23, also making four starts. He had a 5.88 ERA with a 1-3 record across 33.2 innings and 32 strikeouts. Robbins threw three combined scoreless innings in his first three outings of the season against all of West Virginia, Georgia tech and South Florida. In his first start in over 1,000 days, he threw a career-long four innings, allowing no runs and just one hit while striking out a career-high five batters against North Florida. He did not allow an earned run across five outings from late April to early May, totaling 8.2 innings.
Sean White, a redshirt-senior from Peachtree City, Ga., earns the honor with his 3.55 overall GPA. In his final collegiate season, Sean started in all but one game for the Eagles and ended his career with a .302 average that included 64 hits, 40 RBIs and a .467 SLG while only missing one game on the year. He tied for the second-most multi-hit games for the Eagles at 19 with eight multi-RBI games and ended the season with a 21-game on-base streak. White had consecutive three-hit contest with a homer against both South Florida and Kennesaw State in February, while going for three straight multi-hit and one RBI games to start March. Against then top-15 Clemson on March 10th, White blasted his first career grand slam en route to a 6-1 win over the Tigers. Along with having four hits in the series opener against Marshall, he went 6-11 in the Old Dominion series with two RBIs and a double. He also stamped the closing of his career with a 3-4 night in the series opener at Southern Miss that included a double and solo homer.
