JUNIOR (2013): Went 3-2 with a 6.14 ERA in 24 games... Made four starts... Tied for a team best four saves... Struck out 43 and walked 20 batters in 51.1 innings pitched... Made his Georgia Southern debut against Indiana (2/24) and allowed three runs over three innings... Allowed just one run on two hits over four frames against Xavier (3/2) to earn his first career save... Earned  his first win against his old team Mercer (3/12) after allowing one run over 2.1 innings... Picked up a win at Georgia Tech (3/19) after holding the Yellow Jackets to one run on three hits over four innings... Earned his third win in his first start of the season against Jacksonville (3/26) after holding the Dolphins to two runs over four innings... Threw 2.2 scoreless innings against Furman (5/4).

MERCER: Named to the A-Sun All-Freshman Team in 2010... Played two seasons at Mercer before transferring... Went 3-2 with a 4.84 ERA in 10 starts as a sophomore... Was 7-2 with a 4.79 ERA in 16 starts as a freshman... Led the A-Sun as a freshman in games started, doubles allowed and was sixth in opposing batting average... Opened his collegiate career by winning two of his first three starts and allowing just five earned runs in 17.2 innings of work... Picked up his first career win against Morehead State (4/30)... Allowed just one hit over 5.1 innings in the Bear’s 2010 A-Sun Tournament opener and helped the squad to a tournament title.

PREP: Lettered in both baseball and basketball at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Ga... Went 10-3 with a 2.67 ERA as a senior... Allowed only 28 earned runs in 82 innings pitched... Named to All-Academic team as a junior and senior... Helped lead the Vikings to a regional championship and an Elite 8 appearance his senior season.

PERSONAL: Born Matthew Robert McCall on July 23, 1990 in Valdosta, Ga... Son of Bob and Julie McCall... Has an older sister named Sara... Grandfather Bob Sr. was a member of the Florida State Track & Field team.
