Junior (2013-14): Anchored two All-CCSA relays (200 Medley and 400 Medley Relays)... both relays set new GSU records... finished 7th in 50 Free (23.26), 9th in 100 Free (51.22), and 9th in 100 Back (56.39)... named to Dean’s List for both fall and spring semesters... also earned CCSA All-Academic distinction for fall semester.

Sophomore (2012-13): Was All-CCSA in three relays at CCSA Championships: 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay, and 400 Free Relay…part of three school record-breaking relays: 200 Free Relay (1:34.85), 400 Free Relay (3:25.91), and 200 Medley Relay (1:43.85)…Placed 6th in the 100 Back (56.06), 6th in the 50 Free (23.07), and 7th in the 100 Free (51.16)…Named to President’s List and CCSA All-Academic for Fall semester.

Freshman (2011-12): Set three GSU records in 100 Free (50.38), 400 Medley Relay (3:47.04) and 400 Free Relay (3:27.57)... All-CCSA Performer in 100 Free, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay... Received team's "Most Valuable" award for 2011-2012 season... Earned CCSA All-Academic status for Fall 2011 semester.

Prep: Attended Wadsworth High School... Earned four varsity letters... Holds school records in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 IM, 100 Back, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay... 4-time All-Ohio... 4-time All-Suburban League... 2-time All-American... 4-time Medina Gazette First Team, 3-time Medina Gazette MVP, 2-time Cleveland Plain Dealer Star Swimmer, National Honor Society member, four year Scholar Athlete and Academic Letterwinner... Swam for the Suburban League.

Personal: Full name is Elaina Marie Lanson... Daughter of John and Karen Lanson... Born on June 10, 1992... Has a brother Logan... Most admires her mom and dad and Coach John Fagan... Biggest influence is her mother and other family members who "taught me values and supported me my whole life"...  Most treasured possession is her backyard swimming pool because "of all the wonderful memories made with family and friends"... Enjoys shopping, tanning and getting her nails done... Sport event would most want to attend are the gymnastic events at the 2012 Olympics... Talent would most like to have is the ability to fly... Chose Georgia Southern because of the pretty campus, swim team and strong communications department... Career objective is to work in TV sports reporting...
