STATESBORO – Second year Georgia Southern women's golfer, Margaux Brejo, was tabbed as the Sun Belt Conference women's golfer of the week, following her first collegiate individual title at the Route 66 Invitational.

Brejo (73-69-68=210), a native of Fontainebleau, France, secured her first collegiate individual title on Tuesday afternoon, shooting back-to-back rounds under par to win by three strokes. Brejo entered the final round of play, trailing by one shot, before shooting a third round 68 to help guide Georgia Southern to its first team tournament title since 2024-25.

For the tournament, Brejo tallied 13 total birdies, including nine in the final two rounds to post a three and four-under finish. For the weekend, Brejo posted her lowest collegiate tournament score of six-under, the fifth lowest individual tournament score in program history, helping lead the Eagles eight-shot comeback on the final day to win the Route 66 Invitational.
