Four Earn CSC Academic All-District Women's Tennis Honors

Senior Mackenzie Leopold and sophomores Franzi Heinemann, Lisen Rinman and Evelyn Warkentin pick up academic honors

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern women's tennis placed four student-athletes on the 2026 Collegiate Sports Communicators Academic All-District Tennis team, announced today by the organization.

Junior Mackenzie Leopold was joined on the team by sophomores Franzi Heinemann, Lisen Rinman and Evelyn Warkentin. Student-athletes qualify for the team by carrying a 3.50 GPA.

This is the second Academic All-District honor for Leopold, who earns the accolade for carrying a 3.96 GPA in exercise science. Heinemann, meanwhile, earns the honor in her first year of eligibility for carrying a 3.84 GPA in sport management.

Also a sport management major, Rinman earns her first honor for carrying a perfect 4.00 GPA. Warkentin rounds out the Eagles' honorees for carrying a 3.76 GPA in biology.

This is the fourth year in which the organization has sponsored a tennis-only team, and the second year in which the Eagles have had the maximum four honorees on the squad, joining the 2023 team.
