Eagles Fall to North Florida on Saturday

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – Georgia Southern women's golf fell to North Florida on Saturday morning, 3.5-1.5, at the Great Dunes Course in Jekyll Island, Georgia.
Freshman Margaux Brejo earned a full point for the Eagles on Saturday, defeating Ines Ruiz de Arana 4&3. Brejo secured an early lead on the first hole, collecting a birdie before extending her lead back-to-back wins on holes six and seven. She held a three-up advantage heading to the turn, before producing a four-up lead on the 13th hole.
North Florida's Shivani Karthikeyan leveled the match at one in match No. 2, defeating Keely Johnson 5&4, while the Osprey's Brianna Castaldi took the lead in match No. 3 defeating Haven Ward 3&2, 2-1.
Maddy Pytura battled in the fifth match of the afternoon, securing a half against the Osprey's Braydn Smith.
