Women's Golf Battles North Florida in Match Play Saturday

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern women's golf returns to the course this weekend, facing off against North Florida for a match play event at the Great Dunes Course in Jekyll Island, Georgia. The Eagles enter the weekend after posting an 11th-place finish at the Coach Mo Classic, led by Margaux Brejo's back-to-back rounds at even or under par.

Georgia Southern women's golf secured an 11th-place finish at the Coach Mo Classic, guided by back-to-back rounds at or under par by Margaux Brejo. Brejo surged up the leaderboards, collecting an 17th-place finish. Brejo leads the Eagles with 58 total birdies, including a season-high 10 in St. Augustine, Florida, last weekend at the Coach Mo Classic.
Brejo's two rounds of even par and under par at the Coach Mo Classic added to her rounds of even or under par this season, tying Haven Ward for the team lead of six rounds this season shooting even or under par.
Saturday's match play event will be the final competition day for the Eagles this season, before the team heads to Point Clear, Alabama, for the Sun Belt Championship on Apr. 20-24.
