Looking Back at GS Softball
- Georgia Southern is coming off a historic 2025 campaign that saw the Eagles rewrite the record book, setting nine single-season team records and earning multiple top-five marks in program history. The Eagles established new standards in doubles (72), walks (170), on-base percentage (.355), hit by pitches (54), fielding percentage (.979) and double plays (25).
- The 2025 season also featured several standout single-game performances, including five doubles against Georgia State (3/29) – tying for the seventh-most in program history – five stolen bases versus Maryland (3/7), ranking fourth all-time, and nine walks against Harvard (2/14), tying for eighth-most in a single game.
- Georgia Southern added a key piece to its coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season with the addition of Cortney Radke as Assistant Coach/Pitching Coach. Radke brings extensive collegiate and international experience, most recently helping FGCU develop one of the ASUN's top pitching staffs while mentoring multiple All-ASUN performers.
- Offensively, Emma Davis enters the 2026 season continuing her climb up the program's all-time charts. The senior owns a .347 career batting average, ranking third in program history, and sits eighth all-time in career stolen bases with 39.
- Veteran shortstop Delanie Thames holds the program's single-season record with 17 hit by pitches and is tied for fourth all-time in career hit by pitches. Madi Gillespie, a transfer from Campbell, also etched her name into the record book, tying for third all-time in a single season with 13 hit by pitches.
