Sun Belt contest slated for Saturday moved due to anticipated severe weather this weekend in Statesboro
STATESBORO - After considering the very latest weather information available for the Statesboro and Bulloch County areas this weekend, Georgia Southern athletics and Sun Belt Conference officials have announced that Saturday's women's basketball game against Arkansas State will be postponed until February 11.
Campus officials announced late Thursday to move to reduced operations with only essential personnel permitted on campus both Friday and Saturday, necessitating the postponement. The National Weather Service currently predicts snow with wind gusts as high as 25 mph for the Bulloch County area on Saturday.
A tentative game time of 5 p.m. has been set for the Wednesday, February 11 game against the Red Wolves at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center. Tickets for Saturday's game can be used for the rescheduled February 11 contest or can be exchanged for any other game this season by contacting the Georgia Southern ticket office.
