NaJ Watson clocked a 23.85 to finish second in the 200-meter dash, while Shatalya Dorsett followed closely in third with a time of 23.98 against a stacked field of competition.
Eagles Post Multiple PRs in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, FLA. – The Georgia Southern women's track & field team continued its indoor season Friday at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, hosted by the Gainesville Sports Commission on Jan. 16.
The Eagles' distance group highlighted the day with a series of personal-best performances in the 3,000 meters.
Katie Casto recorded a time of 10:40.45, while Hannah Douglas crossed the line in 10:46.69, with both marks surpassing their previous bests set at last week's Clemson Invitational. Julia Wilson also posted a career-best effort, finishing the 3K in 11:03.99.
Distance veteran Tristen Crosby continued her strong start to the indoor season, running a career-best 5:18.65 in the mile.
On the track, transfer Myzhane Solomon turned in a standout performance in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a career-best time of 9.53 seconds. Jayla Lawrence's 7.75 in the 60m was also a career-mark.
In the field events, freshman Trin Lavant improved on her early-career mark in the triple jump, posting a best leap of 11.88m to surpass her previous mark of 11.77m. Gamyzhae Williams also improved her career mark in long jump to 5.74m.
The meet also marked the Georgia Southern debut for Jessie Schroeder and Madison Linscomb.
Schroeder competed in the 3,000 meters, finishing with a time of 10:25.00, while Linscomb showcased her versatility by recording a 5.54m long jump, a 9.32 in the 60m hurdles and a 2:28.61 in the 800m.
The transfer Schroeder in her first meet as an Eagle landed herself within the top-five times for the 3K at the No. 4 spot.
