
Eagles Compete in Stacked Bob Pollock Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Georgia Southern women's track & field team continued its indoor season Friday at the Bob Pollock Invitational, hosted by Clemson on Jan. 30, competing against one of the nation's deepest fields.
Freshman Madison Linscomb highlighted the day with a personal-best performance in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a 9.03 to continue her strong debut indoor campaign. Veteran Adonijah Currie matched her career-best time of 7.62 in the 60 meters, showing consistency against elite competition.
Team captains NaJ Watson and Alanna Smith also delivered season-best marks. Watson recorded a 7.48 in the 60 meters, while Smith turned in a 56.57 in the 400 meters to pace the Eagles in the quarter-mile.
Georgia Southern tested itself against a stacked field that included Auburn, Duke, Mississippi State, Tennessee and several other nationally ranked programs, gaining valuable experience as the indoor season progresses.
The Eagles will look to build on Friday's performances as they prepare for the next meet on the indoor schedule.
