WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.– Georgia Southern women's golf placed tenth out of 14 teams in the Boilermaker Classic in its first action of the 2025-26 season. Junior
Haven Ward led the way for the Eagles, firing a 75-71-77 (+5) to finish tied for 23rd.
In the second round on Monday, Ward shot a 71 with a trio of birdies, including a bogey-free back nine. She finished with the most pars (40) of any golfer in the tournament.
Maddy Pytura finished tied for 36th after shooting 81-72-73 (+10) in her first action as an Eagle. On Tuesday, she had three birdies on the front nine and finished at plus-one.
Ida Lundh led the Eagles in total birdies with nine during her first tournament, including four apiece in rounds one and three. She placed tied for 43rd, shooting 75-78-75 in the three days.
Rounding out the five for the Eagles,
Margaux Brejo finished 49th and
Keely Johnson placed 77th.
Ole Miss won the team title, shooting a -2.
