Broken Arrow, Ok. --- The Georgia Southern women's golf team tied for 12th at the Route 66 Invitational Honoring Dale McNamara, hosted at Cedar Ridge Country Club, this past Monday and Tuesday (October 13-14).
The Eagles were paced by
Margaux Brejo (70-73-73=216), who shot a +3 on the tournament and placed top-15 individually among a loaded field. She would shoot a -1 in the first round, including four birdies in the final 12 holes of the round. Madeleine Pytura (78-81-70=229) had a stellar final round, shooting a -1 while having the most birdies by an Eagle in the tournament with her five. She would soar up 14 spots individually from Monday to Tuesday to place just outside the top-60.Â
Haven Ward (74-75-74=223) had a consistent tournament, being the second-highest Eagle individually, placing 34th. Other Eagles on the week were
Ida Lundh (80-78-75=233), who placed 70th, and
Keely Johnson (81-77-79=237) just behind her in 75th.
Arkansas would win the team title while Oklahoma's Savannah Barber was tops individually.Â
