STATESBORO– Georgia Southern women's golf, fresh off its first-ever berth in the NCAA women's golf championship, has released its 2025-26 schedule, head coach
Mimi Burke announced.
The Eagles commence the 2025 fall campaign by traveling to West Lafayette, Ind. for the Boilermaker Classic, hosted by Purdue from Sept. 1-2. The team follows with its lone home tournament of the year, The Southern, which will be hosted in Statesboro at Forest Heights Country Club from Sept. 8-9.
GS will round out the month of September with a trip to Nashville for The Mason Rudolph, hosted by Vanderbilt. The Eagles will spend Sept. 19-21 in the Music City, where they placed eighth in last season's event.
Moving into October, the Eagles head to Broken Arrow, Okla., for The Dale McNamara hosted by Tulsa from Oct. 13-14. The team will wrap up its fall schedule at The Ally, hosted by Mississippi State from Oct. 20-22.
Shifting to the spring schedule, the Eagles will kick off the slate the same way they have the last two seasons - traveling to Rio Grande, PR for the Lady Puerto Rico Classic from Feb. 1-3. Last season, the Eagles placed ninth in the field.
The Eagles will also take on Furman in match play at the Ohoopee Match Club in Cobbtown, Ga. The date of that match is still TBD.
The month of March sees the Eagles compete in three tournaments: Gators Invitational (Mar. 6-8, Gainesville), Valspar Augusta Invitational (Mar. 14-15, Augusta) and the Coach Mo Classic (Mar. 30-31, St. Augustine). Last season, the Eagles won the Valspar Augusta Invitational.
Postseason play begins in late April. The Sun Belt Championship, hosted at Lakewood Golf Course in Point Clear, Ala., begins on Apr. 20. The Eagles will be vying for the Sun Belt crown after winning in stroke play last season.
Finally, the NCAA Regionals begin in mid-May. The NCAA Championship is hosted at the Omni La Costa Resort in San Diego from May 22-27.
GS has a new-look roster under Coach Burke and will begin its season in just a few weeks.
