Georgia Southern Student-Athletes to Participate in Declare Your Major Day

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern Athletics will celebrate the academic journeys of its student-athletes during the annual Declare Your Major Day on Monday, March 23, inside the Performing Arts Center Auditorium on the campus of Georgia Southern University.
The event will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. and will feature 83 Georgia Southern student-athletes formally declaring their academic majors across eight colleges and academic institutes at the university. Declare Your Major Day highlights the commitment of Eagle student-athletes to academic achievement while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics.
Student-athletes will represent the following academic colleges and institutes:
The ceremony will include remarks from several campus and athletics leaders. Speakers for the evening include Director of Athletics Chris Davis, football student-athlete Josh Dallas, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President Maggie Sale and Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Avinandan Mukherjee.
Declare Your Major Day serves as a milestone moment for Georgia Southern student-athletes, recognizing their academic direction and reinforcing the department's commitment to excellence in both the classroom and competition.
