STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in partnership with the Georgia Southern Athletic Department and Feed the Boro, will host a Community Impact Project to support families in need across the Statesboro–Bulloch County area.
"We are always happy to continue our partnership with Feed the Boro," Gleen Hart, Senior Associate Athletics Director, Student-Athlete Development/APEX, said. "Our commitment to servant leadership helps us give back to the community that so graciously supports our student-athletes year after year."
The annual Feed the Boro event will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the Statesboro High School parking lot. During the event, volunteers will distribute 500 boxes of food to local families.
The initiative reflects Georgia Southern Athletics' continued commitment to service and community engagement. SAAC and the Athletic Department are seeking 40–50 volunteers to assist with food distribution and event operations.
