CONWAY, S.C. - The No. 73-ranked Georgia Southern men's tennis closed out the 2025 regular season with a 4-0 win over Coastal Carolina on Sunday afternoon in Conway, S.C.

The Eagles locked up the No. 2 seed in next week's 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championships with the victory, improving to 16-6 overall and 7-1 in the league. Coastal Carolina falls to 8-11 overall and 4-4 in the league with the loss. Georgia Southern faces seventh-seeded Georgia State at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 18, at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga., in quarterfinal action in the Sun Belt Championships.

Georgia Southern took a tightly-contested doubles point thanks to a 6-4 win by Laurent Julia Calac and Aaron James Williams at No. 1 doubles, as well as a 7-6 win from Pol del Castillo and Dimitris Paliouras at No. 2 doubles.

In singles play, the Eagles were able to close out the win with three straight-set singles victories. Pierre Mouesca downed Jack Dixon, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 singles, then Williams earned a 7-5, 6-2 win over Curzio Manucci at No. 3 singles. Calac then clinched the victory with a 6-2, 7-6 (3) win over Gonzalez Balmaceda at No. 5 singles.
