STATESBORO - Fresh off of a perfect weekend, Georgia Southern men's tennis makes an appearance in the ITA National Team rankings for a third straight season, entering the February 20 rankings at No. 75.
The Eagles (5-4) knocked off Jacksonville State, 4-3, and current No. 71 ranked Stetson, 6-1, over the weekend at Wallis. Georgia Southern made its first appearance in the ITA National Team rankings in 2023, coming in at No. 69, then last year ascended as high as No. 66 in the rankings.
All four of the teams Georgia Southern has lost to this season are also nationally ranked - Florida State (43rd), USF (48th), Florida (49th) and Ole Miss (51st). Fellow Sun Belt school and future opponent Old Dominion checks in at No. 58 in this week's rankings.
The Eagles will put their national ranking on the line in a pair of road matches this week, visiting Kennesaw State on Friday for a 2 p.m. tilt with the Owls, then a 1 p.m. contest at Chattanooga on Saturday.
