JACKSON, MISS. - Former Georgia Southern men's golfer Steven Fisk birdied the final three holes for a two-shot victory at the Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson to claim his first PGA Tour victory and his tour exemption through 2027.
Fisk, from Stockbridge, Georgia, shot an 8-under 64 in the final round on Sunday to win the event with a 24-under score. He went out in 33 (-3) and came in at -5 to finish strong and hoist the trophy. The Atlanta native had a string of birdies on holes No. 16 and No. 17 to take the lead over runner-up Garrick Higgo who ended at 22-under.
Fisk was born in Atlanta and played college golf for the Eagles, where he was an All-American and finished second at the NCAA Championship. He won the Club Car Championship last year on the Korn Ferry Tour in Savannah.
