Softball Signs Additional Four for 2026 Season

Eagles bolster squad with additional four newcomers
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern head softball coach Sharon Perkins announced the signing of an additional four student-athletes to grants-in-aid to play for the Eagles in the 2026 season.
The new signees are: Kaylee Croft (5-5, LHP, Moreland, Ga.); Demere Gray (5-8, OF, Loganville, Ga.); Carley Ramsden (5-5, OF/INF, Sarasota, Fla.); Shaylin Stringer (5-8, LHP, Lyons, Ga.)

Moreland, Ga. | Trinity Chrisitan
Four-year letterwinner at Trinity Christian under head coach Tommy Gregg… Named 2024 3A Pitcher of the Year… Named 3A Private Elite 8 Pitcher of the Year… Three-time All-Region as a pitcher and infielder… Held a 2.56 era in 103.2 innings including 137 strikeouts in senior season… Hit .352 with 12 runs batted in during senior season… Holds records in both career and season strikeout and ERA records… Played travel ball for GA Impact Premier.

Four year letterwinner at George Walton Academy under head coach Kathrine Meeks… Two-time All-State selection… Named 2022 and 2024 Defensive Player of the Year… 2023 Offensive Player of the Year… Hit .480 with 67 stolen bases in senior season… Two-time Basketball State Champion and ng3 Player of the Year… 2024 Track and Field state runner-up… Played travel ball for Impact Caymol Premier 18u.
Carley Ramsden

Four-year letterwinner at Sarasota HS under head coach Heather Mushrush… Two-time district champion (2022, 2023)... Named Herald Tribune Athlete of the Week in junior season… Four-year varsity volleyball starter… Recorded 1000 digs as a libero and earned Hall of Fame recognition… Member of Cambridge AICE… Played travel ball for the Tampa Mustangs.
Shaylin Stringer

Lyons, Ga. | Toombs County HS
Four-year letterwinner at Toombs County HS under head coach Hayne Brant… Named 2024 GHSA Division 1 Pitcher of the Year… Two-time GHSA Region 3 AA first team all-region… Tossed 134 innings posting a 1.35 ERA with 274 strikeouts… Holds school records in season strikeouts (274), career strikeouts (620), career wins (47), season wins (19), season no hitters (3), and perfect games (1)... Also ran track in high school.
