Georgia Southern women's golf makes its first appearance at one of the premier tournaments in the country, the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall.
The 17-team field features some of the top teams in the country including NBC Preseason Ranked No. 6 Auburn, No. 17 LSU, No. 24 Ole Miss, No. 32 SMU, and No. 33 Tennessee. Georgia Southern entered the preseason rankings at No. 30.
The Eagles are coming off of a team top-10 finish at the Boilermaker Classic. LoraLie Cowart led the way for the Eagles shooting 76-72-70 (+2) to place top-6. The senior carded the second most birdies in the field with 12.
Avery Robinson will enter the Eagle lineup for the first time this season and the first of her career. Cowart and Robinson are joined by Louise Reau, Regina Plascencia, and Mary Miller in the lineup.
Georgia Southern is paired with Maryland and Furman and will tee off on holes 13A-15B at 8:30 a.m.
