Event to take place Saturday in Statesboro

STATESBORO - The highly anticipated Georgia Southern Fan Fest, presented by Morris Bank, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, Optim Orthopedics and The Clubhouse, is back at Allen E. Paulson Stadium this Saturday, Aug. 10. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m., followed by an open practice and scrimmage at noon. After the scrimmage, the Little Eagles Clinic will take place at the Anthony P. Tippins Family Training Facility.

This event is open to the public. Entrances to Paulson Stadium will be through Gates 5, 6, 8 and 12 with all parking lots around the stadium open and free of charge. Seating is available throughout the stadium.

The Little Eagles Clinic will include fun drills for kids ages 6-12, culminating in a pep talk and team photo at the end. This year's clinic will not only feature the football team, but also the volleyball, men's soccer and women's soccer teams, with stations dedicated to each sport. The Fan Fest will begin at noon and the clinic is expected to start at 2:30 p.m.

While the event is free, parents are strongly encouraged to register their kids online at GSEagles.com/LEC. Additionally, we ask parents to print and sign the Waiver Form and Photo Release Form prior to the event to expedite the check-in process. Check-in will be available starting at 1:45 p.m. at the south entrance (along the Eagle Walk route) of the Anthony P. Tippins Training Facility. Please note that parents/guardians are required and must remain on-site at the Anthony P. Tippins Family Training Facility during the clinic in accordance with University policies regarding minors on-campus.

Food trucks will be on-site to provide food and beverages during the scrimmage. With high temperatures expected on Saturday, fans are encouraged to bring water to stay cool and hydrated.
