NEW ORLEANS– Men's basketball guard Tyren Moore was named Sun Belt Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

He shot 19-of-30 (.633) from the floor and 6-of-13 (.471) from beyond the arc and a perfect 11-of-11 from the line.
On Wednesday against Marshall, Moore went 10-14, scoring 23 and grabbing five rebounds and dishing three assists, becoming the first Eagle to record three-straight 20-point games since Andrei Savrasov did it last season.
During Friday's game against ODU, Moore exploded for 32 points on 9-16 shooting, going a perfect 9-9 from the charity stripe and 5-10 from three. He became the first Eagle since Elton Nesbitt (5) in 2005 to have four or more games of 30+ points.
This year, Moore leads the Eagles in points per game, assists and 3PT percentage. His 11 20-point games lead the Sun Belt, and his 18.4 ppg during Sun Belt play leads the conference.
He also sits tied for second in threes, fifth in field goal percentage, free-throw percentage and assists per game during conference games while also having a 1.7 assist-to-turnover ratio, eighth in the conference.
Moore and the Eagles will look for a run to the NCAA Tournament in Pensacola for the Sun Belt Championship beginning on Thursday with a matchup against South Alabama.
