STATESBORO - Georgia Southern head women's soccer coach Chris Adams has announced the addition of three freshman who will join the Eagles for the Fall of 2024.
The three new signees are: Claire Casey (5-5, D, Williamston, Mich.); Peyton Free, D/M, Madison, Ala.) and Libby Wooffindin (5-7, D, Featherstone, England). These three join the four signees inked during the early signing period in November.
"We are super excited about the 2024 class," Coach Adams said. "We signed four very talented players during the early signing period and have added three additional players to strengthen the group. Libby Wooffindin and Claire Casey are center backs, and Peyton Free is an outside back, so we feel confident that we have addressed the need to replace the backline from last year."

Williamston HS / Michigan Jaguars
Played for the Michigan Jaguars 05/06 GA club which was the national runner-up in 2019 ... Named 2023 Soccerwire GA Player to Watch and 2019 Midwest Conference Best XI ... Played varsity basketball in high school and was an All-State honorable mention honoree.
Coach Adams: "Claire is a very athletic center back who is very good in the air. She should pose a threat on set pieces with her aerial ability, which has always been one of the strengths of Eagle soccer."
Peyton Free
5-5 Midfielder/Defender
Madison, Ala.
Bob Jones HS / Alabama FC
Earned All-Metro and All-State honors for Bob Jones HS ... Named Defender of the Year and also recorded the most assists in a single season twice for the Patriots ... Plays club for Alabama FC.
Coach Adams: "Peyton is a very skilled outside back who looks to get forward with an offensive mindset, providing dangerous crosses into the box."
Libby Wooffindin
5-7 Defender
Featherstone, England
Loughborough / Leicester City FC
Played for the U21 Leicester City club in the England Colleges and was her team captain ... Planning on majoring in exercise science at Georgia Southern.
Coach Adams: "Libby is a very smooth and composed center back who is very good on the ball. She has a very high Soccer IQ and will fit in well with our program."
