Mimi Burke announced the signing of mid-year sophomore transfer Natachanok "Drive" Tunwannarux. Tunwannarux will begin competing this spring for the Eagles after transferring from the University of Georgia.
In her freshman campaign at Georgia, Tunwannarux participated in 10 events including all nine spring tournaments. She finished her freshman year with a 73.81 average over 26 rounds and third on the team with eight par-to-better rounds. Drive posted her best finish of the season placing fourth at the 2024 Lady Bulldog Championship.
Prior to Georgia, Tunwannarux competed in 56 World Amateur Golf Ranking events between 2018-22 and posted 11 victories. She posted a trio of top-10 finishes to wrap up the 2022 calendar, finishing fourth at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship, second at the IMG Academy Junior World Florida Challenge and sixth at the Citrus Golf Trail Ladies Invitational.
Georgia Southern opens up its spring campaign Feb. 2-4 at the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Purdue in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
