STATESBORO – Georgia Southern head softball coach Sharon Perkins announced the signing of four student-athletes to grants-in-aid to play for the Eagles in the 2026 season. 

The new signees are: Jaycee Bilbrey (5-4, OF, Nolensville, Tenn.); Kerra Clarida (5-8, INF, Middleburg, Fla.); Alexis Edmondson (5-6, INF/C, Winder, Ga.); and Kennedy Shea (5-7, INF/UT, Plant City, Fla.).

Kerra Clarida

Four-year letterwinner at Middleburg HS under head coach Ashley Houston… Two time All-County First Team honoree… Named 2023 Softball MVP and Offensive Player of the Year… Named All-County honorable mention as a freshman… Holds the home run record at Middleburg HS … Also competed in weightlifting… Plays travel for Texas Blaze Johnson 18U.

Alexis Edmondson

Hit .412 in her senior campaign at Winder-Barrow HS under head coach Calvin Bottoms… Named second team all-region in 2021… Earned first team all-conference in 2022… Earned the Coaches Award and Team MVP in 2022… Four year letterwinner in golf at Winder Barrow HS… Top-10 academically in senior class.

Kennedy Shea

Plant City, Fla. | Strawberry Crest HS
Four-year letterwinner at Strawberry Crest under head coach Nate Swan… Three-time first team All-Western Conference… 2022 Offensive Player of the Year… Two-time MVP in high school… Own school records in season runs batted in season batting average… Also competed in swimming… 2024 PGF National Champion… Plays travel for Unity Meadows-Johnson.
