JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Georgia Southern swimmers competed in the Osprey Invite hosted by University of North Florida from Friday, Sept. 29 to Saturday, Sept. 30.
The Eagles ended day one with success in the pool, highlighted by
Zuri Clavo's first place finish in the 400 Yard IM, with a time of 4:33.21.
Emma Scruggs finished in second place in the 200 Yard Backstroke, clocking in at 59.52.
In day two, Clavo continued to shine with a third place finish in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:12.16. The Eagles finished the day with a team score of 666 and finished in four in a field containing Florida State, Campbell, and North Florida.
"Following our six weeks of training, the Osprey Invite served as a good benchmark for the entry into our season," said head coach
Allyson Sweeney. "We're looking forward to using this weekend's experiences as a foundation to springboard us through to midseason."

The Eagles host a fall dual meet with SCAD and Gardner-Webb on Saturday, Oct. 7. Action is set to begin at noon from the Georgia SOuthern Recreation Acitivity Center pool.
