STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern Swimming and Diving teams enjoyed success at two different events, with the Eagles swimmers taking a dual meet from both Gardner-Webb and SCAD-Savannah on Saturday, Oct. 7, and the Eagles divers coming away from the Moultrie College Invitational with high marks, including the highest-overall score at the three-meter dive.
"It was a busy - and fruitful - weekend for our Georgia Southern swimmers & divers," said head coach Allyson Sweeney. "Here in Statesboro, we kicked off the program's home competitions by hosting the Gardner Webb & SCAD combined programs. Having close ties with each program, it was an exceptionally electric environment to host some early season competition. Meanwhile in Moultrie, Ga. - our divers had the opportunity to gain important training & competing experience with their first official competition of the season over the weekend. All in all - a great amount of growth for all of our student-athletes this weekend!"
