PREVIEW: Swim Opens Up the Season at Osprey Invite

STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern swimmers will open up the regular season down in Jacksonville, Florida, as they take part in the Osprey Invite hosted by North Florida. Action in The Sunshine State starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, then day two kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The Eagles are sending all of its swimmers down to Jacksonville to compete in several different events. Events for both days are listed below:

Friday
- 200 Medley Relay*
- 400 Individual Medley
- 200 Freestyle
- 100 Backstroke*
- 200 Butterfly
- 100 Breaststroke
- 50 Freestyle
- 1000 Freestyle*
- 400 Freestyle
Saturday
- 400 Medley Relay*
- 500 Freestyle
- 200 Backstroke
- 200 Breaststroke*
- 100 Butterfly
- 100 Freestyle
- 200 Individual Medley*
- 200 Freestyle Relay
* indicates 10 minute break after event

The Osprey Invite also has Florida State and Campbell in the field. Video for the event can be found at the top of the release. Note that day one and day two will use different ESPN+ streaming links.

The Eagles have won five of the previous six match-ups with North Florida. The Eagles are also 3-4 all-time against Campbell, and have never met Florida State in the pool.
