STATESBORO - Georgia Southern cross country opens the 2023 season at the Firetower Project Run on Friday, Sept 1st, at App State Farm Field Don Kennedy Trails in Boone, N.C. The women’s 5K race is slated for 4 p.m.

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern cross country opens the 2023 season at the Firetower Project Run on Friday, Sept 1st, at App State Farm Field Don Kennedy Trails in Boone, N.C. The women's 5K race is slated for 4 p.m.

Georgia Southern last competed in Boone in 2017 at the Covered Bridge Open finishing in seventh place. The Eagles are coming off three top-five finishes last season at the Valdosta Border Clash, Julius Johnson Invite, and Upstate Invite.

Tristen Crosby and Reagan Boling make their Georgia Southern debuts joining Isabel Ptacek, Ansley Fullen, Ella Zierdt, Reese Connelly, and Megan Hilton as the Eagles entries.

Following Friday's race the Eagles return to action on Sept. 30 at the Asics Invite in Morrow.
