STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern baseball team will plays its next seven games on the road, starting with a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at Troy. First pitch from Riddle-Pace Field is set for 7 p.m. ET on Friday night.
Georgia Southern comes into the contest with a 23-21 record and a 13-8 mark in conference after sweeping ULM in a series that saw the Eagles break many school records, such as the most runs scored in a single game with 35, and tie others, such as most hits in a game with 27. Troy comes into the series with a 31-15 overall record and a 11-10 conference record after dropping two games to the South Alabama Jaguars, followed by a midweek win over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at home.
The Eagles and the Trojans last met in 2022, where the Eagles swept Troy for the first time in school history. Prior to that, the Eagles and the Trojans met in Troy in 2021, where the Trojans two games over the Eagles in the series.
Troy holds a narrow 15-14 lead in the overall series between the two teams, but Georgia Southern has won seven of the last nine matchups between the two programs.

Ty Fisher for Friday nights contest and southpaw
Mitchell Gross for Sunday's contest. A starter for Saturday has not yet been named. Troy will send out RHP Grayson Stewart on Friday night with LHP Logan Ross taking the mound on Saturday. Sunday's starter is yet to be announced.
