
Two Eagles Named Outdoor Track and Field All-Sun Belt

Imani Moore and NaJ Watson earn the honor.
NEW ORLEANS – Imani Moore and NaJ Watson have been named Outdoor All-Sun Belt, the league announced today.
Moore was named second-team All-Sun Belt after finishing second in the long jump at Sun Belt Outdoor Championship. The sophomore posted a mark of 5.99m, tied for the seventh-best in program history. She also ran on the 4x400 relay team that placed fourth in the meet (3:44.13).
Watson earned third-team all-league honors after scoring 11.25 points in three events at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship. She finished third in the 200-meter dash (23.31), fifth in the 100-meter dash (11.59) and ran on the fourth-place 4x400 relay team. The freshman was named the Sun Belt Track Athlete of the Week in the first week of the outdoor season after running the 200 in 23.23, the fastest time In the country at the time and a new school record.
Watson qualified for the NCAA Prelims in the 200-meter dash, and her time currently ranks 34th in the region. She will compete in the NCAA East Prelim meet May 25-27 at North Florida in Jacksonville.
Both Moore and Watson also earned Indoor All-Sun Belt accolades earlier this season.
