STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern baseball team will play its final three road games of the season in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series against Georgia State. First pitch from the Georgia State Baseball Complex is set for 6 p.m. on Friday night.
Georgia Southern comes into the series with a 24-24 record after dropping a midweek contest on the road at College of Charleston. Georgia State comes into the game with a 24-26 record and having lost its previous five games, which includes being swept on the road by Texas State. GS is 14-10 in Sun Belt Conference play while GAST is 11-13.
Georgia Southern is 73-26 all-time against Georgia State, which includes a sweep of the Panthers last year in Statesboro. Last year's sweep was the first sweep to happen in the series since 2002, when Georgia Southern took all four games from Georgia State.

Mitchell Gross will take the mound on Sunday, with Saturday's pticher yet to be announced. Georgia State will throw right-hander Ryan Watson on Friday and right-hander Rafael Acosta on Saturday, with Sunday's starter to be announced.
