
5 Questions With: Ana Tsitavets

The Georgia Southern women's tennis team is back on the court! All throughout the season, we've given you a closer look at the team with our 5 Questions segment. Our final student-athlete we are spotlighting is freshman Ana Tsitavets!
Ana joined Georgia Southern as a true freshman this Fall and has been outstanding, compiling an 8-4 singles record, including a 6-1 record at No. 2 singles, while also going 6-0 in doubles! The Minsk, Belarus, native is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in criminal justice and criminology from Georgia Southern!
1) What made you decide to come to Georgia Southern to play tennis?
I decided to come to Georgia Southern because, after i graduated from high school, I wanted to continue my academics studying and sport career in the US. After talking to different coaches and girls from the team, I felt that Georgia Southern will be the best place to do that.
2) What's one place in the world that you'd love to travel to someday?
I would love to visit many places, but i think the place I want to visit the most is New Zealand. I saw many pictures from there, I think it's very beautiful. I also like the weather there, so i think it would be nice to travel there one day.
3) What is your favorite food?
I feel that for now my favorite food is sushi. I didn't like them when I tried them for the first time when I was 8, but when I grew up I tried them again and now i can say they are my favorite food.
4) Did you have a favorite toy when you were growing up?
Yes, my favorite toy is my teddy bear that my dad brought from a business trip. I had many different toys, which are still on my bed at home.
5) Do you have a song that helps you get through a particularly tough day?
I love the song "Umbrella" by Rihanna. I always remember Tom Holland's dance when I listen to this song.
