STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern baseball team will travel to Atlanta to kick off a five-game road trip, starting with a match up with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Russ Chandler Stadium on Tuesday, April 4. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
This is the second and final time that the Eagles and Yellow Jackets are set to meet this season, with Georgia Tech taking game one of the midweek series in Statesboro back in February, 8-6.
Georgia Southern comes into the game with a 14-14 record, salvaging the series against Old Dominion with a 16-0 run-rule victory. Prior to the weekend, GS took down another in-state foe in Georgia, dominating the Bulldogs 12-2 in Athens. Georgia Tech comes off a series loss to Boston College, including falling 24-12 in the series finale on Sunday. Prior to that, GT lost to Georgia State in neutral site action.
The Eagles will send LHP
Will Robbins (1-0, 5.91 ERA) to the mound for the contest, while Georgia Tech will rely on RHP Logan McGuire (1-0, 5.68 ERA) to start the contest.Â
