PREVIEW: Georgia Southern Concludes Regular Season with Two Conference Matches

STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's tennis team will finish off the spring 2023 regular season with its final two conferences matches at home, first against Southern Miss on Saturday, April 15, then against Louisiana on Sunday, April 16. The matches start at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively, with Sunday's match being the Eagles' Senior Day.

SOUTHERN MISS OUTLOOK: The Golden Eagles have a 7-12 record 19 games into the season, including a 1-4 mark in Sun Belt play. The Golden Eagles are led by Antione Audrain, who is 7-4 overall this season.

SOUTHERN MISS SERIES: The Eagles and the Golden Eagles have never met in men's tennis. The two were supposed to meet last season in Boca Raton, Fla., but inclement weather canceled the match.

LOUISIANA OUTLOOK: The Ragin' Cajuns are 11-8 thus far this season, finishing off the year with matches at Georgia Southern and Georgia State. Louisiana carries a 4-2 SBC mark into the match on Saturday at Georgia State, so the record will be different when the Cajuns and Eagles meet on Sunday. UL is led by Karlo Kajin, who is 12-5 overall this season.

LOUISIANA SERIES: The Eagles are 1-5 against Louisiana all-time, and have fallen in the previous four matches, including a road match in 2022.

UP NEXT
The Eagles will head to Peachtree City, Ga., to take part in the Sun Belt Conference Championship from April 20 - April 23. Seedings and match ups will be announced at the conclusion of the regular season.
