MIDWEEK PREVIEW: GS and Jacksonville Meet for First Time This Season

STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern baseball team will travel down I-95 to take on the Jacksonville Dolphins on Tuesday, April 11, at John Sessions Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

Georgia Southern is finishing up a five-game road trip, one that began last Tuesday when the Eagles played Georgia Tech on the road. The Eagles are currently 1-3 on the road trip, with two more road swings coming up in the season.

Georgia Southern and Jacksonville have played a total of 136 times, making JU one of Georgia Southern's most played opponents. Georgia Southern is 76-60 all-time against the Dolphins, but just 31-36 against JU in road contests.

Georgia Southern comes into the midweek match up with a 15-17 record after dropping the previous series to the 17th-ranked Coastal Carolina Chanitcleers. Jacksonville comes into the game with a 22-11 record after taking two of three in a weekend series against ASUN member Eastern Kentucky.

Georgia Southern will sent out left-hander Anthony DiMola (1-1, 6.23 ERA), who will be making his first appearance and start since the Southern Miss series. Jacksonville will send out left-handed pitcher Dakota Stone (3-1 4.88 ERA).
