STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern baseball team will take on the Georgia Bulldogs out of the SEC in a two-game midweek series, starting on March 7 at SRP Park in North Augusta, South Carolina, before coming back and welcoming UGA to the confines of J.I. Clements Stadium on March 8.
The Eagles are coming into the match up with a 7-4 record after taking the series from the UCF Knights in Orlando, Florida. After dropping the first game, the Eagles scored 30 runs in two days to take down the Knights, winning by a score of 19-7 on Saturday and 11-8 on Sunday. Georgia comes in with a 8-3 record after taking two games from Georgia Tech on Friday and Saturday, dropping the Sunday neutral site game in Lawrenceville, Ga.
This is the third year that GS and UGA will take part in the home-home-and-neutral scheduling arrangement, with the neutral site game leading off the series. Georgia Southern is 2-0 all-time against Georgia at SRP Park, winning by a score of 1-0 in 2020 and 13-5 in 2022. Georgia Southern also holds a 32-26 advantage in the series in Statesboro.
Georgia Southern will start 
Jaylen Paden on Tuesday. The righty holds a 5.00 ERA on the season with 13 strikeouts, one win and a save, holding opposing batters to a .235 BA. Georgia will turn to southpaw Charlie Goldstein, who holds a 6.43 ERA with no record.
