The Georgia Southern women's tennis team is back on the court! All throughout the season, we'll give you a closer look at the team with our 5 Questions segment. Our next student-athlete is freshman Ninon Martinache!
Ninon joined Georgia Southern as a true freshman this Fall and has been outstanding during the Eagles' great start to the year! The Dunkirk, France, native is 9-4 in singles and 7-5 in doubles this Spring. Ninon is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in sport management from Georgia Southern!
1) What made you decide to come to Georgia Southern to play tennis?
I first had a very good feeling with Coach McCaffrey, then the team that integrated me very well too. I also liked the atmosphere of the university, I already felt a little at home.
2)Â Who is the one person in your life that you look up to the most??
My mother, she is really strong and I admire her a lot.
3) If you weren't playing tennis, what other sport do you think you might be playing right now, either professionally or in college?
There are so many sports that I would like to practice! Field hockey, padel, soccer, handball. I have a little crush on padel!
4)Â In a movie about your life, what actor or actress would play you?Â
Probably Jennifer Lawrence.
5)Â Do you have a phrase that helps you get through a particularly tough day?
When I have a bad day I usually write on my hand "+=+". It helps me a lot and I will define it as « the positive attracts the positive »
