5 Questions With: Kinley Stewart

Georgia Southern softball has returned to Beautiful Eagle Field for the Spring 2023 campaign! All throughout the season, we'll be spotlighting our seniors with our 5 Questions segment. Next up is outfielder Kinley Stewart!
Kinley joined the Eagles last year from Georgia Tech, where she played for two seasons for the Yellow Jackets scoring 12 runs in 44 games. A native of Loganville, Ga., Kinley was a two-time All-Region honoree for Loganville HS. This season, she has started all 22 games in center field for the Eagles! Kinley is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies at Georgia Southern.
1) What made you decide to come to Georgia Southern to continue your softball career?
I was originally interested in Georgia Southern because of Coach Perkins, I knew how she coached and her drive, and I knew that she could make a winning program and I wanted to be a part of that success. I was sold on coming to Georgia Southern when I learned more about the staff and the culture that they wanted to create, one that works hard and believes in what they do, but also cares about us as people.
2) What's one thing that people don't know about you?
I am a LEGO fanatic, I have been collecting since I was 10 and have spent well over 4K on them!
3) What's one thing that your teammates do that drives you nuts?
They just have very erratic energy sometimes, that is over the top!
4) In a movie about your life, what actor or actress would play you?
Blake Lively
5) Do you have a phrase, saying or song that helps you get through a particularly tough day?
"Remember when you wanted what you currently have."
