Georgia Southern softball has returned to Beautiful Eagle Field for the Spring 2023 campaign! All throughout the season, we'll be spotlighting our seniors with our 5 Questions segment. Next up is outfielder Chandler Caldwell!

Chandler is a graduate student from Suwanee, Ga., who played three years at Tennessee Tech before joining the Eagles in 2021-22! She played in 42 games, starting 22, for the Eagles last year and between her Georgia Southern and Tennessee Tech careers, Chandler has stolen 23 bases! She was named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Commissioner's List last year and Chandler is currently pursuing her master's degree in public health from Georgia Southern!

1) What made you decide to come to Georgia Southern to finish out your softball career and pursue graduate school!?

I think very highly of our coaching staff. I knew they were going to value me as an athlete and as a person.

2) What's one thing that people don't know about you?

I still have 2 baby teeth in my mouth.

3) Who is the one person in your life that you look up to the most?

Not one person, but two: my mom and dad. They're both my best friends. As I get older, I love to see pieces of them in me.

4) What is your favorite home cooked meal?

Homemade baked chicken wings, air fried green beans, and rice with a (non-alcoholic!) Arnold Palmer.

5) In a movie about your life, what actor or actress would play you?

Denzel Washington with a wig.
