STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team is set for Sun Belt Conference action against the second-ranked UCF Knights on Saturday, October 7, in Orlando, Fla. Kick-off is set for 7 PM at the UCF Soccer Complex.

Georgia Southern comes into the match with a 1-4-5 record after facing off against top-ranked Marshall at Eagle Field, a match where the Herd came out on top, 3-1. UCF holds a 5-1-2 record at the No. 2 ranking in the country after taking down Kentucky on the road, 1-0.

The Eagles are 2-6 all-time against the Knights, with the last GS win coming at home in 1999. UCF currently holds a two-match win streak over Georgia Southern, with the last match played between the two coming back in 2009.

This is the second team with the No. 2 ranking that the Eagles have faced this season. Earlier this year, the Eagles faced No. 2 West Virginia in Morgantown, W. Va., and kept the offense scoreless, ending with a 0-0 tie for its second time against a nationally-ranked program in school history. Georgia Southern is 1-30-2 all-time against nationally-ranked teams.
